Director

Ileni Velikoshi

Ileni is an admitted legal practitioner of the High and Supreme Courts of Namibia. He holds B. Juris and LL.B. degrees from the University of Namibia, along with an LL.M in International Commercial Law from Salford University in Manchester, UK. His areas of specialisation include advanced contract law and negotiation, international intellectual property law, international corporate law and governance, and the international law of the sale of goods. His dissertation focused on ‘A Critical Perspective on Sustainable Development Clauses in Multinational Investment Contracts’.

In addition, he possesses a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Competition, Contract, and Unjustified Enrichment from the University of Stellenbosch. He has undertaken training in Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement, Judicial Professionalism, Advanced Trial Advocacy Skills, and the Aspirant Judges’ Programme.

Ileni began his legal career as a public prosecutor in 2007, progressing to the position of senior public prosecutor in 2009.

He later became a presiding officer, serving in the Lower Courts of Namibia for eleven years across various roles, including senior magistrate, principal magistrate, and regional court magistrate for five years, before transitioning into private practice in May 2021. He has also had the privilege of serving as an Acting Judge of the High Court of Namibia, Main Division (Windhoek), in 2018 and 2019. 

Furthermore, Ileni acted as the Secretary-General of the Magistrates and Judges’ Association of Namibia (MJAN) in 2016 and served as the editor of the Inter Se Newsletter, a quarterly publication of the MJAN, for four years. In 2020, he participated in a six-month Pupillage Mentorship Programme with the Society of Advocates of Namibia (Namibian Bar) under the mentorship of Advocate Christie van Zyl.

 

Associate Legal Practitioner

Logino Giovanni Goraseb

Logino Goraseb is an admitted Legal Practitioner of the High Court of Namibia with more than 4 years of experience in Magistrate and High Court Litigation.  In 2020, he earned his LLB from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. In 2021, he began his legal career as a Candidate Legal Practitioner at Isaacks & Associates Inc. and in 2022, he joined Ileni Velikoshi Inc. as an Associate Legal Practitioner.

In addition, Logino was awarded a certificate in Trial Advocacy Skills by the Pretoria Society of Advocates in 2019. The main areas of interest for Logino are Criminal Law and Procedure, Civil Litigation, Family Law and Practice, and Labour and Employment Law.

Logino, has recently started pursuing his studies in Conveyancing as he endeavours to be registered as a qualified Conveyancer in order to amplify the services offered at Ileni Velikoshi Inc. He is well adept in the various other areas of law offered by Ileni Velikoshi Inc.

Associate Legal Practitioner

Grace Nghiishililwa

Grace Nghiishililwa is an admitted Legal Practitioner of the High court of Namibiawith a solid academic and professional foundation in the legal field. She holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) Degree from the University of Namibia, where she developed a strong interest in the practical application of the law and honed her skills in legal research, analysis, and advocacy. 

Currently practicing at Ileni Velikoshi Incorporated, Grace plays a vital role in the firm’s litigation team. Her primary areas of focus include Civil litigation, Criminal litigation, and Labour law matters. Her work involves representing clients in various legal forums, drafting pleadings, providing legal opinions, and navigating complex legal disputes with precision and diligence.

Grace is committed to upholding the principles of justice, fairness and integrity in every case she handles. She brings a detail-oriented and client-focused approach to legal practice, ensuring that each client receives informed and effective representation. Her ability to navigate multifaceted legal challenges make her a valuable asset to the firm and to the clients she serves.

Candidate Legal Practitioner

Professor Marvin Awarab

Marvin Awarab is an Associate Professor and distinguished expert in Namibian Employment Law and Telecommunications Law, holding degrees in B Juris, LLB, LLM and LLD. He teaches law, supervises postgraduate research and serves as internal and external examiner for universities in Namibia and South Africa respectively. 

His specialties include employment law, workplace dispute resolution, telecommunications law and contract law. An accomplished author, Marvin has published numerous books, articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented papers at international conferences. He serves as a Country Representative and Management Committee Member of the African Labour Law Society, promoting labour law and policy development. 

He previously served as a Member of the Magistrates Commission of Namibia, overseeing the operations of the Magistracy and performing all other statutory functions as per section 4 of the Magistrates Act 2 of 2003. Marvin has numerous people under his mentorship and as a public intellectual, continues to contribute to sharing knowledge and shaping the legal landscape, especially in the areas of employment and telecommunications. 

As a Candidate Legal Practitioner at Ileni Velikoshi Incorporated, Marvin is exposed to various areas of the law and assists the Associates of the firm with legal research, legal advice and drafting of legal documents.

Accountant

Lineekela Sheefeni

Lineekela is our internal accountant/bookkeeper responsible for our finance section. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), completed in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Finance at NUST. 

Lineekela has vast experience in accounting and bookkeeping, having worked as an intern accountant at MK Empire Trading Close Corporation, where he was responsible for VAT submissions, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. 

Legal Secretary

Julitta Moller

Julitta holds a Higher Diploma in Legal Studies from Triumphant College. She began her career in 2020 as a legal intern at the Okahandja Magistrate & Court.

She intends to continue her legal studies at the University of Namibia. Julitta provides legal secretarial and administrative support that contributes to our firm’s efficiency in all operations.

Logistics and Support Officer

Silas Ntinda

Silas serves as our logistics and support officer. His role includes more than just logistics; he assists with the delivery and filing of pleadings and other legal documents and takes on ad hoc administrative tasks to support our team. His ability to multitask and prioritise effectively makes him an invaluable asset that ensures smooth and efficient operations.
